NBA Basketball Totals Betting System

NBA Basketball Totals Betting System
There are many betting systems for use in regard to placing an NBA bet. However, one of the oldest NBA betting system in use is the totals betting system. In this system, you simply bet the under in the game with the lowest posted over/under number on the board. The catch to this system is that there is must be a minimum of four games being played.
A good example of this would be the games in the NBA that were being played on 01/18/2010:
Orlando
LA Lakers
198
Sacramento
Charlotte
197 1/2
New Jersy
LA Clippers
194 1/2
San Antonio
New Orleans
188 1/2
Chicago
Golden State
215
Phoenix
Memphis 225
The bet would be to wager on under in the San Antonio - New Orleans game, as the over/under of 188 1/2 is lower than any of the other posted totals.
Many sports bettors will double up after losses and try to show a profit any time the system wins. I suggest that you do not do this since that philosophy is always risky and you will be like most sports bettors after the NBA regular season - a loser! Instead of doubling up, the sports bettor would probably be best served by waiting until the system has a losing day, before making a play.
This totals system makes sense from a logical perspective, since most sports bettors prefer to bet overs. The reason for this is that it is typically more enjoyable to root for scoring. Thus, sports bettors are less likely to bet the "under" for totals. This in turn gives the sports bettor a big advantage since the sports bettor will be wagering against the public.
