How To Bet On Hockey

How to bet on hockey.
So you wanna bet some Hockey? Easy!
If you’ve ever bet football or basketball, learning to bet on the NHL will be a cinch.
There are only a few minor differences you need to be aware of.
The Spread or Puck Line: Just like in football, Hockey has a spread set for every game. But since we’re not dealing in touchdowns and field goals, the line stays the same for every NHL match up. It’s called the “Puck Line” and it's 1.5 goals. When picking a winner, your choice has to win by at least 1.5 goals (which is a two-goal victory) for you to take home the money.
The puck line works exactly as a point spread wager. If the favored team is listed at -11/2 then they would have to win the game by 2 or more goals for the bet to pay. Vice versa, if the underdog´s line is + 11/2 then they would have to lose by less than 2 goals for the wager to pay. The odds for the puck line is the standard 11/10 wager unless a money line accompanies the puck line.
Totals are also offered within the hockey wagers. All total bets are at 11/10 odds unless otherwise accompanied by a money line.
Over/Under: Just pick the total number of goals scored, over or under a predetermined total, and you win. There are two ways to play this:
Total Points: Pick over/under the teams combined goals total and you win.
Team Total points: Have a hunch on your favorite team or a hot goaltender? Bet on the over/under for an individual team.
The Moneyline: Same as every other sport, play against the line to win straight up!
Parlay bets are combination bets which are offered within all the hockey betting venues. When you bet on hockey, the more games combined into one single wager, the higher the odds and the bigger the payout.
Parlays are paid out according to the money line of the teams wagered on.
Alright, now you’re ready to get your hockey betting on!
