In college football, the best teams in the country usually play weaker teams, especially in the first few weeks of the season.  Because of this, you will often see sports books providing huge lines and blowout victories.  Because of this, many sharp bettors make a
lot of money on college football betting since Vegas oftens underrates many college football teams in the first few weeks.  In addition, I suggest that you bet on college football non-conference college football games.  Once conference college football games start rolling around, it is tough to make a lot of money.

There are, however, in college football are few angles to consider when doing college football handicapping.  They are: 

1.  When betting on college football, remember, that the players are more subject to their emotions and off field occurrences

This difference can be very important when you are handicapping your college football bets.  There are many factors that may affect the outcome of a game such as; suspensions, off field injuries, scandals, how the players relate to each other, home coming grudge matches, family matters, etc.  These factors  all relate need to be considered when you do your college
football handicapping.

2.  Just because a college football team wins a lot does not mean that it is a good college football team to bet against the spread.  Thus, it is best to identify these college football teams early in the season, and stay away from them all season.

3.  Some college football teams not only win most of their games, but also manage to cover the spread as well. A few good example would be Florida and Oklahoma. 

Usually, the best college football teams to bet on against the spread are those who either blow out their opponents or those college football teams who surprise the country by being better than expected when the season began.

4.  I also suggest that you do not bet on college football games involving a grudge match or a home coming college football game.  You just do not make any money  because everyone else, including the line makers, have factored them into the lines. 

5.  Knowing how the college football players are relating to each other is  very important when doing your college football handicapping.  As a rule, reading about a fight in practice is a sign of a bad game ahead!

6.  Personnel changes, especially if the head coach is lost, will often play a role in how the college football player plays during a college football game.  Thus, many college football teams often announce the ending of a coach’s career, and this can sometimes give the players an extra boost of motivation.

7.  If you are betting college football team totals, remember, that if you are betting the over it is important, in my opinion, to select the most improved teams that may be flying under the radar or college football teams that have significantly easier schedules compared to last season.

In general, you should know what is going on off the field If you want to be
successful in for college football betting.  Emotional factors and health factors almost always come into play, and knowing how a group of guys will react to a situation is the key to winning.
