Most sports bettors make the same mistakes to have a losing season.  Therefore, I decided to provide a list of what I feel are the most common mistakes made by sports bettors when they place a wager.  Thus, please avoid these mistakes and you should be a winner when placing a sports wager for the sports season.  By avoiding these mistakes, you will have a much better chance of succeeding with your sports betting goals.  The most common mistakes to avoid are:

1. Most sports bettors do not have a money management plan.  Thus, have a money management program in place and stick to it.  Use your plan and place your bets using it no matter if you are winning or losing!  I suggest breaking your season bankroll into 4 increaments and only using 2.5% for your daily wagers.  At the end of a month, renew your money management program based on either your winnings or losing and start over again for the following month based on a 25% betting bankroll.  That way, you will never lose all your money.

2. Don't just bet for the sake of betting.  Many sports bettors will bet on a game just so they can have action.  Have a purpose.  If you just bet for the skae of placing a bet, you will lose your money before the season is over.  Thus, have a purpose before you wager and set a goal.  In most cases, you  either have handicapped the game yourself or are following a specific sports betting system

3. Many sports bettors only have an account at one sports book.  That is a big mistake.  You should shop around for the best lines by having several accounts at different sports books.  In addition, make sure that the accounts are funded so that you do not need to scramble around to place a wager.  At the end of the season, just placing a wager for the a certain game could make you a winner!
 
4. The game can be seen on TV.  If so, do not bet on a game.  The main reason is that the sports books know that the sports bettor will watch the game and thus inflat the lines. 

5. Many sports bettors will wager on their favorite team.  If you bet on your favorite team without doing your homework, you will most likely lose the game along with your money.  I find most sports bettors who bet on their favoite teams will usually allow emotions and irrational thoughts to come into play.  Thus, clouding his or her judgment when placing a bet.  in fact, I would say to avoid placing a bet on your favorite team.

6. Finally, most sports bettors do not use a winning system.  I suggest using a winning system if you want a winning season.  I might recommend that you try several of them to see what works best for you.  In most cases, the winning systems are known by most sports bettors - SportsBettingChamp and BookieBuster are the 2 most winning systems that I know.
