March Madness Round Percentages

Big betting opportunities are presented for March Madness or "The Big Dance" as it is known.

Rule #1:  The Big Dance 1st Round Power System

You should play the under in every single 1st round tournament game without exception. That means all 32 games without analysis, and regardless of the matchup. Also, be sure to play the same unit bet on every game.  The reasoning behind this rule is that their season is over with and the they are drained.
 
Rule #2:  Number 1 Seeds Are Winners 

The next step is to just put all the number 1 seeds through to the second round.  The reason for this is that there has NEVER been a number 1 seed team that has ever lost in the first round of the NCAAB tournament or March Madness.  Thus, this pick is what I would consider a sure bet since there is no precedent telling me otherwise!

Rule #3: Bet On Teams With A Streak. 

By this, I am saying that teams with either a good or a bad way streak going into March Madness otherwise known as the NCAA tournament can be profitable.  In general, bet against teams that have won three in a row and if a team has lost three in a row then bet for them to win their game.  

Rule #4: Defense Usually Pays Off.

The public usually loves to bet on high scoring offensive teams.  The value bet is in the defensive team.  Take the defensive style team! 

Rule #5: The Favorites Have the Most to Lose

As a rule, it is very difficult for low seeded teams to make it to the Final Four, or even the Elite Eight.  However, during the first two rounds of March Madness (the NCAA tournament) can sometimes be a dangerous time for the favorites since  small conference teams or mid-major underdogs want to make a name for themselves by beating a big conference team.  Thus, I suggest that you go  with the value bet and bet on the underdogs to cover.  Just remember, that it is not a win outright against these big conference who have big time programs.

Rule #6: Bet The Underdog For Value

If you are looking to making money during March Madness, also known as the NCAA Tournament, then, you need to go against the chalk.  Just remember, the underdogs have been quietly winning their conference and/or conference championship without publicity.   They just might have something to show the basketball world.  This is their opportunity to do just that!  Thus, the underdogs can be profitable.

In general, your strategy should be to bet the underdogs - all of the underdogs - even on the first day of the tournament with the exception of number 1 seeded teams.

These rules should come as no surprise to the astute sports bettor since betting involving underdogs will bring with it a great deal of value.

This brief article is not about forming your March Madness bracket (VERY small chance of winning anyway!), but instead making money!
