Why Do Many Sports Bettors Lose Their Bets?

Why Do Many Sports Bettors Lose Their Bets?
There are several reasons why sports bettors lose their bets. The main reason is because of money management and they lack discipline. Below are my top reasons why sports bettors lose their bets. Starting with the number one reason that I feel most sports bettors lose their bets.
Money Management - poor money management
I repeat, because of poor money management. There are many sports bettors who can pick winners, however, many of those same sports bettors do not make money, and money management is the key.
Betting $50 on one game and $100 on another is a sure way to find yourself separated from your cash in the long run, just as betting 50-percent of your bankroll on one game will ultimately lead disaster. Set a certain percentage of your bankroll for thw whole season and stick t it!
Doubling up after wins or losses is a major disaster for most sports bettors, and is a common mistake made by many sports bettors.
Betting on the Wrong Events
Most sports bettors like to bet football and basketball. Football, by the way, is my worst sport and basketball is my best gambling sport. However, both sports are known by most long-time sports bettors that those two sports are probably the two toughest sports to show a long-term profit in.
The sport of choice for most professional gamblers is baseball, which happens to rank well below the top two sports in the amount of money received. Hockey is another sport which many long-time bettors believe has an an advantage over the sports books. However, hockey is bet less than even baseball.
Remember, however, that a sports bettor does does not have to particularly like baseball or hockey. As long as they like money!
Lack of Knowledge
Many sports bettors do not realize that they are competing against other sports bettors. Many of them who have spend hours on handicapping, studying trends, injuries, and betting angles. If you don't have the time to study the games try to find somebody who does, such as a handicapping service, etc., but don't assume you know more than everyone else.
Betting Too Many Games
There are a large number of sports bettors who feel if a game that it is their duty to have a wager on the contest. Especially, if the game is going to be on TV! How can you know about all those games. You just want to bet on one or two games on which you have spent time studing and know that you havea good chance of winning the sports bet.
Also, please remember that the lines are the usually the sharpest on televised games since the oddsmakers and sports books realize that those games will be bet the heaviest by sports bettors.
Remember, the key to becoming a winning sports bettor is to practice money management along with discipline.
